Offline shopping will always trump online shopping – because in offline shopping we use all our 5 senses and we love it. Think about the amount of great deals online – then think how you still prefer to grab a friend and go to the mall even though you could save by shopping online.
So can there be synergy between online and offline – Yes! Imagine that a customer is going to their favorite store and sees a QR code that enables them to join the brand/store loyalty club. The customer decides to join and automatically receives a bonus/discount by joining. Now the customer is part of the brand’s loyalty club and is present in both the offline club and the online club (using Sortal’s platform).
When the person goes home, logs into their Facebook page (a natural thing to do), s/he now is part of the loyalty club and can begin engaging with the brand online – and retaining the ability to shop offline at their favorite store – by using offers, vouchers and information supplied online.
